To foster its retail activities, UPSA is looking for a National Sales Manager.

The National Sales Manager will maximize the business opportunity in a defined area ensuring best execution of the company plans and providing Head of Sales with go-to-market sales recommendation to foster growth, through the appropriate investment of resources and management, leadership and coaching of a Sales Pharma representatives team. The position reports directly the Head of Sales UPSA BeLux.

As leader of the retail activities the Sales Manager will:

  • Translate strategy into action and align with goal-setting, execution and performance measurement trough KPI’s (including territory management, sales objectives and qualitative indicators)
  • Have elevated business acumen and ability to translate strategic direction into effective commercial proposals
  • Will be able to make go-to-market and sales recommendation to drive growth, launch new products, Sales Forces Effectiveness, commercial optimization in his/her area of responsibilities
  • Drive performance and plan execution through the best sales force team with adapted coaching and development
  • Have a broad portfolio understanding and a strong knowledge of his/her environment
  • Connect with others by building trust, persuading and giving feedback, develop employees, and take responsibility for personal development
  • Will be able to make go-to-market and sales recommendation to drive growth, launch new products, Sales Forces Effectiveness, commercial optimization in his/her area of responsibilities

🧾Key Responsibilities and Major Duties

  • You build, coach and develop the BEST pharma team with extended sales skills. This will be your priority
  • You lead your team to be Advocating the strategies in terms of content as well as in behavior and engage the team by being a role model.
  • You provide coaching and support to enable the Sales Representatives to promote the products range to the targeted audience in the most efficient way.
  • You are accountable for the realization of the qualitative and quantitative objectives
  • You contribute to commercial strategy and go-to-market plan
  • You execute, advocate and lead in the roll out of the commercial model
  • You organize regular coordination meeting with team members and if required with other internal stakeholders
  • You enforce the strict application of the Ethical Code and Internal Ground Rules
  • You share best practice and engage in cross-company business enhancement projects where appropriate
  • You cross-collaborate with internal and external stakeholder
  • You ensure monthly reporting of sales activities and performance.
  • The position has exposure to Top-Management

✨ Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in successful management of Pharmacies/Retail sales team A Team Leader, with a positive can-do and challenger attitude
  • Exceptional Sales-driver with demonstrated track-record of results
  • People management: experience in leading people, driving performance and/or influencing
  • Selling skills excellence: negotiation, communication and influencing skills to deliver impactful calls • Analytic : be able to create his own analysis tables, analyze them in a relevant way and make recommendations
  • Ability to form collaborative relationships with the field and office-based team.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • A demonstrated high degree of proficiency in managing multiple projects
  • CRM optimization experience is an asset
  • Languages : Fluent in Dutch and French (mandatory). English is an asset.
  • Degree level: bachelor/master or relevant experience
  • Absolutely trustworthy.
